The Obra Spot at Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra recently came alive with the first One Ghana concert organized by Fiesta, a digital TV channel operated by Accra- based production house, Ohene Media.
Artistes like Afriyie of Wutah fame, Okyeame Kwame, Raquel, Trigmatic, Manifest, Tina Asante, Cabum, Luther, AJ Nelson and several others gave the audience a lot to cheer about at the show.
A highlight of the event was when chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Kwabena Adjei after advising the audience on the need to put our political differences aside and move on as a nation, took to the stage and did his own renditions of the popular Azonto and Akaida dances.
The free open-air concert was aimed at unifying Ghanaians through music.
“The concert was meant as a tool for bringing Ghanaians together to celebrate peace and also encourage political harmony.
The first edition has been very successful and we are optimistic that in subsequent years, the show would be bigger and better,” CEO of Ohene Media, Abraham Ohene Djan said.
Emcees for the night, Andy Dosty, Sammy Bee and Nana Foxy ensured that there were no dull moments by filling the intervals with rib-cracking jokes, freestyle rapping and a dance contest for the audience.
