The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) is calling on musicians to compose and submit songs on unity and peace as part of the unions contribution to peaceful and credible elections this year.
The competition is under the theme Using Music as a Tool for National Cohesion.
The winner of the Peace Song Contest will be presented with GHS10000 cash at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards on May 7.
A total of 15 shortlisted songs will be used for a Peace Compilation Album and the Musicians will tour the 10 regions to promote peace and unity as the November 7 elections draw closer.
According to a release by MUSIGA, songs can be submitted in MP3 format at MUSIGA Head Office or at any MUSIGA regional office. The submission deadline is May 2, 2016.
