Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo sworn in as president

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo  has been sworn-in as Ghana’s 5th President of the 4th Republic, after winning the recently held Presidential elections in December, 2016.

In his inaugural address, he urged Ghanaians to work together for development.

According to him, Ghana has no excuses for being poor.

“We must create wealth and restore happiness to our nation,” he said.

He promised to “stimulate the creative juices of innovators” and urged the nation to “expand our horizons and embrace science and technology.”

The event was witnessed by the three former presidents of Ghana.
