The 2017 edition of the Miss Ghana pageantry will be officially launched tomorrow, August 2, 2017.
This year’s edition is the 60th and is being organized by Exclusive Events Ghana Ltd, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture and the Ghana60yearsOn Planning Committee.
In 1957, Ghana’s first president outdoored the first Miss Ghana, which was won by Monica Amekoafia from the then Trans-Volta Togoland (Volta Region).
Since then, the pageantry has moved on to have more winners and has undergone lots of changes.
The winner of Miss Ghana serves as a role model and undertakes certain projects that will help society to grow.
