Ghanaian actress and film maker Juliet Asante has said that the answer to the problems of the Ghanaian movie industry is not to collate signatures.
Juliet’s criticism comes after Yvonne launched a campaign to get stakeholders in the movie industry to sign a petition calling on the government to help revive the movie industry in Ghana.
“I don’t believe in signatures. It is for showmanship and I understand because this is show business but we must attack the real issues. Signing signatures is not the solution to our problems,” Juliet said in an interview on HItz FM in Ghana.
Juliet Asante is the founding president of the Black Star Film Festival.
