A student of the Tamale Technical University, Josephine Ngmenba-Engaa has emerged the winner of a Chicken Recipe Competition that was organized by the USA Poultry and Egg Export Council and the Ghana National Association of Poultry Farmers.
It is organized with the aim to popularize chicken menus in Ghana and to urge people to eat more chicken.
Ngmenba-Engaa beat six others to win the contest. She also picked the most hygienic and safety conscious contestant, the tastiest meal, the most creative and best presentation and the most organized contestant awards.
In second place was Mohammed Suleiman (Accra Technical University) with Michael Amoah (Sunyani Technical University) in third place.
As the winner of the contest, Ngmenba will get a three-week course in a New York Culinary Institute. She also got hampers of assorted gifts, wax prints and a carton of frozen chicken.
