It’s been confirmed that twenty-year-old dancehall artist, Ebony Reigns, has passed on in a car crash at Mankranso in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
The singer whose real name was Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng was returning from Sunyani when the Jeep she was travelling in crashed into a VIP bus on Thursday night, the police have confirmed.
The police also said that she was travelling with three others, two of whom have been confirmed dead.
DSP John Adusei, the Divisional Commander of Mankranso, told Citi FM that the accident happened, “at the intersection of the road between Nsuta and Bechem junction, her car collided with a VIP bus which was also coming from Kumasi towards Sunyani.”
“…so three of them passed on. Now the bodies are at Mankranso, we have a morgue here so we have deposited the bodies there.”
Ebony had a great 2017 and had been tipped as a possible winner of the Artiste of the Year at the 2018 VGMA. She was mostly known for her risqué stage performances and fashion style.
