Spyderlee Entertainment’s signed act Lukeman Baidoo known as Teephlow at the 19th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards took home ‘Record of the year’ with his song ‘State of the Art after beating stern competition from Sarkodie, Samini and Kumi Guitar.
Speaking exclusively on the First Show on FNN which is also syndicated on GN TV on Monday, the ‘Preach’ crooner explained his excitement for picking up his first VGMA and promised Ghanaians bigger projects from him.
‘‘… I was hoping to take the ‘Best rapper of the year’ award. At a point, I was like let me relax a bit because these people can be funny sometimes. I purposely went to enjoy myself and to have a good time. I later heard my name for the ‘Record of the year’ and I happily mounted the stage,’’ he said.
The ‘Phlowducation’ crooner added that his win will definitely raise his price tag.
Teephlow has a lot of songs to his credit including ‘State of the Art’ (2017), ‘Phlowducation’ (2017), ‘Seihor’ (2016) and also collaborated with high profile artists including Sarkodie, Edem, Ephraim, amongst others.
